Overview
Black Creek Community Farm (BCCF), a not-for-profit organization and a leader in urban agriculture, is a beautiful 8-acre farm in the heart of the Jane and Finch neighbourhood. Since 2012, BCCF has operated as a start-up focused on improving food security, reducing social isolation, and improving employment and education outcomes. Our growing spaces are models of sustainable urban agriculture and include our food forest, pollinator gardens of both native and medicinal plants, a youth garden, a farm school garden, a seniors’ garden, and community garden plots.
At Black Creek Community Farm, we work with schools, organizations, and agencies to deliver mentoring and employment opportunities for Black youth and other equity-seeking groups in the community. Our focus is to inspire the next generation by providing leadership in food justice and supporting diverse natural and social ecosystems.
About the Steering Committee

BCCF strives to create an organization that reflects the diversity of identities and lived experiences that exist within the communities that we work alongside. We need people who are committed to the vital role of community Boards to ensure service responsiveness and quality while maintaining public accountability and effective governance.
