vermicompost2

Vermicomposting is composting with worms.  It is ideal for anyone who wants to create some of their own fertilizer for indoor or outdoor plants and recycle some of their kitchen waste at the same time.  It can be done indoors and does not require any sunlight.  The workshop will feature a presentation on vermicomposting as well as an opportunity to build your own worm bin.

Cost: The price is free for those who just want to learn, $20 if you want to build a Rubbermaid worm bin (includes bin, setup, and a supply of worms), or $50 for those who want to purchase a “Tiger Wormery” worm bin (includes a supply of worms; quantities are limited and the bin is more than 50% off retail price, a very good deal).  Participants who pay $20 or $50 can leave with a fully set up worm bin.

Register: To secure a spot and so we have an idea of how many are coming please register by emailing connor.allaby@everdale.org or calling 226-929-0197
